Smear Clinics
Cervical screening commences
at age 25 until 65 years of age.
Women who are currently or have
been sexually active in the past
are requested to have a smear
every 3 years years from age 25
until 50. After 50 women are
asked to have a smear every 5
years until age 65. Women who
have had a recent abnormal smear
may be asked to have smears more
frequently then this.
